Michelle:

Making the decision to move forward with my father’s Living Masterpiece was one of the best decisions of my life. It has given so many friends and family the ability to celebrate a special person while they are still with us. And, it has been a treat to see my father enjoy how people feel about him while he is in the room versus when we are all to often simply looking back on a loved one’s life. While the financial commitment is significant, there is no other way that I can imagine honoring one’s life while they are still with us.

Shirley:

This golden age senior felt like a 6-year old child about to open her largest Christmas present from under the tree. The drawers held models of my cherished family members, animals, and objects representing my entire life.  I became very emotional and unable to hold back the tears as I picked them up one by one.

Fred:

I was blown away by all of it. Everyone was impressed by the way you handled the physical things (the brief case, especially, was a genius touch and very appropriate as a representation of my career)...And you got the quotes from some of my friends and family without me knowing. I guess I should have known you’d spare nothing to get it right, but the way it worked out, I was very much surprised. I know – you told me that the 'Masterpiece' was to convey the 'real' me, for the benefit of my descendants. It does exactly that; it tells my story and the way I went about my life. I hope it will be of interest to those that come after me.

JoAnn:

When my husband was approached for the interviewing process for his Masterpiece, he was most reticent to cooperate... As I observed the interviews, I couldn’t help but remember the many incidents from my point of view and wonder how the one conducting the interview could possibly convey the depth of experience and wisdom my husband had brought to his work life, personal life and family life...We were both surprised...[Living Celebrations] created the perfect Masterpiece for my husband who was a mover and shaker in mergers and acquisitions in the world of business, a loving father and an ethical and loyal friend.

Jon:

I want to thank you all for the BEAUTIFUL Legacy Piece you created for me! This FAR exceeded my expectations.  My story was given a very professional touch; the oil portrait is one I am proud to display; and my musical memorabilia -- CDs, recital programs, compositions and "scribblings" -- have been collected and presented in a uniquely beautiful and artistic way.

The piece is truly a marvelous work of art, and I am deeply touched that my musical story has been captured in such a wonderful way. Thank you so much!!

Beginning with when you came to [my home], and the ensuing interview…your friendly personality made me want to open up completely about all facets of my life. I gave you the names of many people, for you to talk with, who have been important, and without exception your interviews with them were warmly received.

When you and [my daughter] presented the finished product at the party…it brought tears of joy....Most important to me is that after I’m gone, future generations will get a feel for what this guy was really like. I’d like to believe that they’ll pick up on my good qualities, and the happy and successful life I’ve enjoyed, but too, I was human and made some mistakes along the way.
